Nutritional approach to Acne treatment

Does acne cover your face? Want to get rid of those ugly pimples? You are at the right place.
In the previous article, I spoke on the Ayurvedic approach for treatment.  Here, I will tell you how certain nutrients can assist and speed up the treatment.

Following nutrients have been found to be useful for the purpose :
  • Vitamin A
  • Vitamin C
  • Zinc
  • Magnesium
  • Panthothenic acid (i.e. Vitamin B5)

Recurrent appearance of acne is an outcome of low levels of Vitamin A in the blood. Vitamin E, Zinc, Pantothenic acid and natural bacteria make Vitamin A more effective against pimples.
Dr Robert Atkins considers Vitamin A as 'Skin Vitamin' and Zinc as 'Skin Mineral'. However, pregnant women are suggested to avoid Vitamin A supplements as they may cause fetal abnormalities.

Here's what I should feel like suggesting you to include (or increase the intake of) in your diet :
  • Milk and milk products
  • Green leafy vegetables
  • Legumes
  • Avocado
  • Nuts
  • Citrus fruits, tomato, Kiwi
  • Beans, peas
  • Banana, berries

Other than these, following diet follow-ups may help in combating skin problems :
  1. Reduce sugar intake. This will significantly affect your skin in a positive manner.
  2. Intake of natural bacteria. Decrease in good bacteria in the intestine is a common cause of acne. The best sources of natural bacteria are yoghurt and other traditional fermented foods.
  3. Work on improving the levels of digestive enzymes in stomach, i.e. reducing stomach pH or increasing stomach acidity with a Doctor's consultation. This is essential for proper digestion of food. Chewing Fennel seeds is a safe and effective way to increase the levels of digestive enzymes

  2. I was diagnosed as HEPATITIS B carrier in 2013 with fibrosis of the
liver already present. I started on antiviral medications which
reduced the viral load initially. After a couple of years the virus
became resistant. I started on HEPATITIS B Herbal treatment from
ULTIMATE LIFE CLINIC (www.ultimatelifeclinic.com) in March, 2020. Their
treatment totally reversed the virus. I did another blood test after
the 6 months long treatment and tested negative to the virus. Amazing
treatment! This treatment is a breakthrough for all HBV carriers.
